1900 Restaurant, Dublin 2

1900 Restaurant is part of the famous Harcourt Hotel.

The Restaurant earned its name from the historical train crash of 1900 when a train from Enniscorthy to Harcourt Street failed to stop and crashed through the end wall of the Harcourt Street station onto Hatch Street, with the train left dangling in mid-air. Artist Michael McWilliams has depicted the train crash on one of the walls in the Restaurant and it has become a talking point among patrons.

The restaurant is perfectly positioned as a relaxed city centre venue, with a strong focus on Irish bistro cuisine. The owners have gone to great lengths to ensure diners experience not only superb food but welcoming and engaging staff in a beautiful setting.

The warm interior provides a calm atmosphere where dining can be enjoyed from lunch through to dinner. With friendly staff and a great kitchen team, they provide a variety of dishes with starters such as Baked Goat’s cheese and Red Onion Tart, mains like the 1900 Burger, Confit Duck Leg and Potato Gratin, and a selection of steaks. The bar is stocked with a wide range of wines to suit all customers and an impressive cocktail list.

All of the Steaks are a minimum of 28 days matured to achieve the maximum flavour and tenderness master butcher Harry Buckley.  Harry ensures all the steaks are from Irish bred Hereford.

1900 has fast become a popular hotspot for those who like to dine out in the heart of Dublin city centre.
