9 Below – Take a Peek Inside Dublin’s Newest Luxury Bar

Few addresses in Dublin are as impressive as St. Stephen’s Green and 9 Below is tucked discretely under the historic Hibernian Club.

Dropping into this elegant 66-seat Art Deco style lounge bar is like stepping back in time to a more glamorous and romantic era.

Perfect for an aperitif, a pre-theatre or after-dinner drink, 9 Below is a sophisticated and welcoming venue that is sound-proofed against the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

A complete luxury bar experience, the drinks menu offers exceptional wines, spirits and a sensational cocktail list.

The cocktail menu is divided into the four different seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter – which allows experimentation with a wide range of flavours and styles.

Using the Perlage Champagne preservation system, 9 Below offers a selection of 26 different Champagnes and this includes Perignon P2 by the glass, the only venue to do so in Ireland.

From small producers to famous labels, spirits exclusive to 9 Below include Casamigos Anejo Tequila (George Clooney’s Tequila), Martell Chanteloup Perspective Cognac, Konik’s Tail Vodka, Hepple Gin, St. George Terroir, St. George Botanivore and Havana Maximo.

77 whiskeys feature on our menu with 34 from Ireland and the rest sourced in Scotland, the US and Japan.

The wine list at 9 Below features a selection of 60 different wines, 18 of which are available by the glass. A Coravin system is used for tasting 10 of these bottles without having to take the cork out.

According to General Manger Stuart Courtney: “We want our guests to enjoy a truly premium experience in a relaxed, discrete environment with the best drinks menu in Dublin. We want 9 Below to be the epitome of low-key luxury delivered with a high level of service.”

He added: “Our bar team, Andrew Dickey and Stevie Wynne, have created an outstanding menu that can stand shoulder to shoulder with some of the best bars in the world.”

9 Below is open 5 nights a week, Tuesday through to Saturday from 5.00pm. Visit www.9below.ie for more information.
