A Stylish New Multi-Venue Bar will Open in Limerick’s O’Connell Street Tomorrow

Limerick is about to welcome a new multi-purpose venue located in one of the city’s main shopping, dining and drinking areas, at 101 O’Connell Street. Named after its address, One Hundred & One is scheduled to open tomorrow 15th of December.

As reported by the Limerick Leader, only two of a total of five venues in One Hundred & One will open on this first stage, the rest planned to welcome visitors in summer or autumn 2018. The multi-venue site is a joint venture by Tony Enright (Icon Night Club and Smyths Bar) and Mike Warner (Pharmacia).

These first two openings include an underground basement bar and a secret garden outdoor courtyard. By the time the full project is completed there’ll be a piano bar, a boardroom bar, a main bar that was originally Bentley’s, and a coffee shop.

“The Gardens site will be very important to us when it opens,” Mr Enright told the newspaper. They will have an old-school aesthetic (think Prohibition Era meets Peaky Blinders) and an electronic roof that closes automatically if it’s raining. This is the latest one in a series of new openings in Limerick and it promises to become a favourite of drink enthusiasts looking for a stylish night out.
