Adare Manor’s Culinary Team Take to the Road in Search of the Best Irish Produce

As part of its exciting refurbishment, the team at Adare Manor are on the hunt for the best artisan ingredients produced in Ireland.

Five members of the hotel’s culinary team are currently on a 9-day tour of Ireland in search of the best ingredients to use on their new menu.

They’re meeting over 100 small producers on their journey, from the oyster producers in Co. Galway to a vineyard in Co. Wicklow and the producers of hand-harvested sea salt on Achill Island, Co. Mayo.

Meeting these local producers helps the culinary team forge strong relationships with the people behind the ingredients which will feature heavily throughout all of Adare Manor’s dining options.

The team set off on their Irish Culinary road trip on Saturday, June 24th, and have already visited producers at Abernethy Hand Made Butter, Drummond Farm, Hannan Meats, Achill Island Sea Salt, Mossfield Farm and trawlers in Killybegs.

You can follow their culinary road trip on Twitter, where Adare Manor Hotel have been posting regular updates from the road. Visit their Twitter account here.

Adare Manor is currently is the midst of a huge restoration project, with the hope that it will reopen this Autumn as one of the Top Castle Hotels in Ireland.

As part of the restoration, the hotel is adding an entire new wing of luxurious bedrooms, a state-of-the-art corporate boardroom, a 350-seater ballroom and a championship golf course.

They’ll also be offering guests a spa, brand new swimming pool and even a cinema. Guests will definitely be in for a treat, especially when the new dining menu has been completed.
