The final touches are being applied to Adare Manor ahead of its re-opening this Thursday. The luxurious 5-star hotel will have a new 40-bedroom wing and a ballroom with an impressive capacity for about 350 guests.
There’s also going to be a new spa, pool, cinema and general improvements on the 840-acre estate. Adare Manor has been keeping us all updated with their progress on their blog so anticipation has really been mounting.
In their most recent blog post, the hotel offered more information about the great hall reception area, which features designs by legendary 19th century architect and designer Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin, whose genius for the Gothic Revival style left a trail of beauty across the British Isles and Ireland.
But golfers will have to wait until March 2018 to make use of the redesigned golf course, where it’s hoped the Ryder Cup will one day take place.
Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort is owned by businessman JP McManus, his wife Noreen and the McManus family. They bought the hotel and estate for a reported €30 million in 2015.
According to their website, the hotel is aiming to be one of the Top Castle Hotels in Ireland. For more information about Adare Manor, visit their website www.adaremanor.com and browse some of the luxurious rooms on offer.
