Aer Lingus Launches Limited Edition Burger and Tasty Flight Offers for 4th of July

While traditionally lauded as “the land of the free, and the home of the brave” it turns out most people in Ireland consider the States to be the land of burgers, following research by Aer Lingus.

The airline revealed the results of their study into the Best of the U.S in line with the news that today, 4th July, people can take a flight of fancy to their closest WOWBURGER and pick up a delicious limited edition AERBURGER for just €4, while stocks last.

Customers can create their own bespoke burger by choosing their own toppings, free of charge, to add to the AERBURGER.

For all those who visit a WOWBURGER store on Tuesday 4th July, make sure to snap before you eat as Aer Lingus is giving away three pairs of return flights to North America.

Entrants must simply share a Tweet or Instagram of their AERBURGER using #AERBURGER to be in with a chance to win.

WOWBURGER has three Dublin locations including Ranelagh, Mary’s Bar on Wicklow Street and inside The Workman’s Club on Wellington Quay.

In celebration of the U.S. Day of Independence, Aer Lingus is also giving €50 off return flights to its transatlantic destinations, booked between 4th and 6th July.

Aer Lingus now flies direct to 11 North American destinations including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Orlando, Washington, Boston, Toronto, Hartford and Newark, not forgetting a brand new service to Miami direct from Dublin which will begin from 1st September.

34% Irish people who took part in the study choose the hamburger as Ireland’s favourite U.S. food product.

Aer Lingus’ research also showed that almost 2 in 3 Irish adults have friends or family currently living in North America, with 43% of these living in New York and 22% in California. Additionally, 14% of Irish adults have themselves lived or worked in the US previously.

Most people say they would most like to take a bite out of the Big Apple, with New York topping the poll as the most desired destination to visit (31%), followed by San Francisco and Boston.

Former U.S. president Barack Obama is the famous American with Irish ancestry that the Irish public would most like to have sitting beside them on their Aer Lingus flight to the U.S. (33%), with George Clooney (16%) and Ellen DeGeneres (14%) not far behind.
