Airbnb has pushed the envelope when it comes to accommodation. From your go-to bedroom to eccentric chambers and luxurious mansions, there’s a room out there for any style and budget. Among the thousands and thousands of possibilities, a humble cottage hidden in the forest in the heart of Atlanta has become the hottest property right now.
Simply listed as “Secluded Intown Treehouse” it can accommodate two guests. It has been featured in numerous articles and TV shows, and it was voted as Airbnb’s “#1 most wish-listed property in the world” in 2016. The treehouse consists in three separate areas connected by rope bridges: a living room with gorgeous antique furnishing and a balcony overlooking the forest, an open deck immersed in greenery and of course, one bedroom with the softest bed covered by organic linens and decorated with vintage elements and natural artifacts.
The minimum stay is two nights, but believe us, you’ll want to stay way longer. The price is €300 (£296) per night and they are already taking bookings for 2018.
It was build 18 years ago by environmental activist Peter Bahouth who recently told popular American TV show Today he was delighted to see the love his house is getting, ““I think it’s a simple response to a complicated world for a lot of people”, he said.
His treehouse has proven a hit for couple escapes but it’s been also sought as a retreat for writers and as an intimate party venue.
