Albariño will be on the road as Wines from Spain will bring this stellar wine from the DO Rías Baixas (Galicia in northwestern Spain) to three Irish cities during the summer. A series of Albariño wine tastings from the Rías Baixas region will take place in three different locations from the 30th of June to the 13th of July: No. 1 Pery Square Hotel (30th June, Limerick), The Twelve Hotel (7th July, Galway) and Green Man Wines (13th July, Dublin).
Each event will be conducted by a different wine expert and depending on the venue, guests will expect tapas dishes including Pulpa a la gallega (a traditional Galician octopus dish); Arroz Negra (black rice with seafood); Crispy Whitebait; Tetilla cheese; Crab Pintox with pancetta and apple and Croquetas Jamon with paprika aioli.
The hosts will introduce guests to seven different Rías Baixas wines each evening including the bright, juicy and citrusy flavours of a Señorio de Cruces, the floral aromas and superb citrus freshness of the Mar de Frades and a Terra De Asorei with citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon,.
Tickets for each evening are priced at €25 per person and include a carefully crafted selection of tapas to complement the wines, and are available to book directly from each venue.
