Avocado and Cacao Mousse Recipe by Linda Coogan

Avocado is one of my all time favourite things to eat. Otherwise named “alligator pear.” It is loaded with healthy fats, fiber and various important nutrients and has more potassium than a banana. Raw Cacao which is known as a ‘grounded’ food because it contains a truly epic abundance of minerals from zinc, calcium, phosphorous and copper. It is thought to be spiritually ‘grounding’ and a feel good food-we will roll with that thank you very much. It’s also an aphrodisiac, containing anandamide, often described as an euphoric substance. Whey hey! It’s high in essential feel good neurotransmitters such as serotonin – happy buzz people HAPPY BUZZ!

1 avocado chopped

Half a banana sliced

2 table spoons of cacao

1 Spoon of agave or organic date syrup

5 figs or else medjool dates chopped (whatever date type food you have. I’ve tried them all and they equally rock. Sometimes they just give a different texture).

1 Cup of Almonds and ground them in a mixer first before adding rest of the ingredient. I used hazelnuts here and just crunched them down as I like my mousse chunky and because I didn’t have almonds !

Throw in the food processor and bobs your uncle – divine!
