Spoons at the Ready – Ben & Jerry’s Vegan Ice Cream Will Finally Hit Irish Stores this Month

In July, news that Ben & Jerry’s would soon bring its all non-dairy vegan ice cream to Irish shores caused a bit of a frenzy in anticipation of the freezer drop. Now matters have heated up as the ice cream brand have announced that the new product will land in Irish stores on 20th September.

The new ice cream tubs are the first ever non-dairy Fairtrade-certified ice creams in Ireland, according to Ben & Jerry’s.

Along with the official release date the ice cream manufacturer released the all important flavours details, which until now have been subject to much speculation. Get ready to swoon…

The tubs will come in three flavours. First up Peanut Butter and Cookies, a vanilla non-dairy ice cream with chocolate sandwich cookies and crunchy peanut butter swirls.

Next Chocolate Fudge Brownie, a chocolate ice cream with fudge brownies.

And lastly Chunky Monkey, a banana flavoured ice cream with chocolate chunks and walnuts

Made with a base of almond milk the ice cream range will also use fair trade cocoa, bananas and sugar.

According to their website, “Ben & Jerry’s Non-Dairy flavour creations are made with almonds & so boldly loaded with chunks & swirls that you’ll get Ben & Jerry’s euphoria in every bite.”

A 500ml tub of the dreamy dairy dessert will have a RRP of €7.45, which according to Tesco prices is €1.15 more than a usual 500ml tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

The new Ben & Jerry’s non-dairy ice cream tubs will be available in select stores across Ireland from late September 2017.
