Ever since the landmark Bewley’s cafe on Grafton Street closed it’s doors in 2015 there has been much speculation about when it would reopen – with the refurbishment works for the protected building running far beyond the predicted six month deadline.
Finally, there are signs of an official day approaching with the Irish-owned coffee company announcing today that it will hold a Recruitment Open Day on September 5th.
The recruitment drive will take place between 10am-6pm in the Central Hotel, Exchequer Street in Dublin 2.
Last year the company revealed some of the plans for their new expanded multi-million euro top-to-bottom renovation programme, which when complete will allow the cafe to seat 500 customers at any one time.
Other new features include reopening the side entrance on Johnson’s Court, putting a number of open fires back into use and restoring the original Harry Clarke windows along with the historic facade.
