Last Tuesday 4th of April, Bollinger Champagne celebrated in style with a glamorous event to mark their partnership and the launch of the Punchestown Best Dress Lady. Over two dozen guests boarded the retro-chic renovated Routermaster bus run by vintage Tea Tours and enjoyed a classic afternoon tea while travelling from Dublin city centre to The Polo Club in Phoenix Park, and back.
Once at the club, guests where welcomed with a glass of Bollinger Special Cuvée while a live three-piece Jazz ensemble headed by Stella Bass entertained them.
Stylist Marietta Doran acted as MC and held a lively interview with the celebrity Bollinger Best Dressed Lady judges Aisling O’Loughlin and Bláthnaid Treacy about what to look for during the festival. Aisling O’Loughlin spoke about how the winners would “pop out” at the judges and so she hadn’t fixed ideas of what to look for.
Bláthnaid Treacy, said that with the different themes women can choose from – vintage, modern, etc. – she looks for those who look comfortable and confident and are creative in assembling them.
Bastien Mariani, Export Manager for Bollinger Champagne, will also be present at the Punchestown Festival to help choose 2017’s Bollinger Best Dressed Lady. Hoping to find the lady who matches the “Bollinger Style” perfectly: elegant, poised, and with a classic elegance.
