Who doesn’t love coffee? If you’re firmly in the caffeinated camp, the news that Brown Thomas is hosting a dedicated Coffee Month this June will have you buzzing.
The iconic stores in Dublin and Cork are celebrating all things bean-based by paying homage to one of the world’s most popular beverages with a series of in-store events. Each weekend of June you will find a full schedule of workshops and demonstrations, in both Grafton Street and Patrick Street stores.
As purveyors of the finest homewares and appliances, Brown Thomas will host the experts in home coffee brewing in store, so you can become a barista in your own home with insider tips and guidance on the ideal coffee machine for your needs.
First up, sage advice will be on offer from the kitchen kit wizards Sage, who will show off the Barista Express and Oracle Touch machines, two of their top sellers.

The Italians are masters in the art of brewing and the coffee aficionados at De’Longhi are the ideal guides in the quest for the perfect cup of Joe at home. De’Longhi machines PrimaDonna Elite Experience, PrimaDonna XS Coffee maker and Dedica Pump will be put through their paces to prove you don’t need to nip out to your nearest café to get your barista coffee fix.
Taking place over Father’s Day weekend, this demo would be the perfect treat for the tech mad coffee drinker, as these cutting edge machines connect via bluetooth to an app on your phone which allows you to customise and order your coffee remotely.

Ireland’s coffee culture has come on leaps and bounds with the opening of numerous micro-roasteries across the country. Cloudpicker Coffee is based in Dublin’s Docklands and has earned a reputation for excellence, being served in some of the best cafés in the country. They’ll be delving in to the secrets behind the perfect milk-based coffees, from latte art topped flat whites to frothy cappuccinos.

Three Fools Coffee was founded by childhood friends, opened its doors to the public in late November 2015 to a bustling Christmas market on the Grand Parade in Cork City. Since then, their flowery Ethiopian, fruity Guatemalan and chocolatey Kenyan blends have gained mass acclaima and they will be offering a fun and informative tasting and brewing methods workshop in both stores.

With the weather finally looking up, the season of iced coffee is upon us and Nespresso will be in store to show you how to chill those summer blends with some iced creations using their Vertuo and Creatista machines.
