The recently opened Cafe Rubis on Parliament Street offers a glamorous, vintage-styled setting that will please both coffee and wine lovers alike.
Intimate and sophisticated, its collage of dark woods and red velvet as well as distinctively continental vibes makes it a lovely addition to the area, which has been booming with a series of openings over the last few months such as grocerant Dollard & Co, Fonte Coffee Roasters and Roberta’s.
Café Rubis’ wine list offers an appealing combination of wines, focusing on French, Italian and Spanish, but with a handful of New World treats that add to its variety. It also features a small selection of sweet wines and Sherry by the glass, for those wishing to try something a little bit different.
To accompany the vinous enjoyment, they also serve cheese and meat boards as well as dips and other nibbles that are ideal along with a glass.
With its chandelier lightning, ornate decor and chic Parisian vibes, the place offers a charming setting for a date, whether it is a cup of coffee or some vino.
It opens Wednesday to Friday from 5:00 pm to 12:00 am and Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am.
