Celebrate Afternoon Tea Week at Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa

With Afternoon Tea Week taking place from 12-18th August, there’s no better time to indulge in one of the most popular, quintessential pastimes. Located half an hour outside of Dublin city centre, Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa is a whole other world away, offering beautiful surroundings and 5* luxury, making it the perfect spot for afternoon tea.

Guests are invited to watch the world go by whilst immersed in the stunning backdrop of the Sugar Loaf mountains, and enjoy a menu of hand-crafted sweet and savoury delicacies.

Afternoon Tea at Powerscourt Hotel is the ideal way to relax with a group of friends, celebrate special occasions, or to simply enjoy as a well-earned treat after a long week.

To begin with guests can enjoy a selection of freshly made sandwiches with highlights including L’eclair with Goats Cheese Mousse, beetroot and balsamic glaze, Steamed Irish Chicken with curried mayo, mango and toasted almonds, and Ballycotton Oak Smoked Salmon served with Powerscourt soda bread and sour cream & dill caviar.

To finish off with something sweet, diners can indulge in a selection of mouth-watering miniature desserts, or traditional warm scones accompanied with kilmacanogue strawberry jam, fresh chantilly and a lemon curd selection.

To accompany the food, a vast selection of teas are available, including tradition options and more exotic teas from far-flung countries. Examples include everything from Irish Breakfast tea and Lemongrass & Elderflower, to Darjeeling tea from India and Carmel Snap tea from China.

Midweek prices – €35 with tea or coffee / €45pp with a glass of bubbles
