On Thursday, 25th June, Amuse Restaurant on Dublin’s Dawson Street (recently voted Best Newcomer) will host a ‘A Celebration of Champagne and Strawberries’. Chef Conor Dempsey has created a 5 course tasting menu which will include many different varieties of strawberries with a pair of Champagnes selected to best complement each course!
Featured strawberries will include the famous Mara de Bois, a little berry with a big big taste and the very rare white Pineberry, a white strawberry with red seeds and a pineapple like flavour. The first champagne of the evening will be Veuve Doussot, never previously served in Ireland.
“It will be an evening of firsts,” said Conor Dempsey. “Not only the first of the season’s strawberries, but for many guests, the first time to taste many of the ingredients and the champagnes, in very unique pairings. I was very pleasantly surprised by how well my Japanese ingredients such as Kamebishi Soy Sauce and Hamachi complemented both the strawberries and the Champagnes.”
For enquiries or to reserve your table telephone 01 639 4889 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The evening costs €85 per person.
