Summer means lobster! The team at Suesey Street are giving everyone a reason to celebrate as their annual Lobster Festival returns to offer Dublin diners the finest fresh Irish lobster throughout the summer months of July and August. Indulge in the king of crustaceans at the relaxed, informal spot with an outdoor terrace to soak up the sunshine on Fitzwilliam Place.
Head chef Richard Stearn has created a brand new lobster menu for the festival that will be available along with the lunch and dinner menus at Suesey Street. There will be four new lobster dishes focused on showcasing the best lobster available on the day.
Lobster lovers can enjoy a rich and comforting lobster and leek mornay and for those seeking something a little more decadent, there will also be lightly breaded lobster claw with fresh Irish peas, pea jus, pickled samphire and new season olive oil, a half or whole grilled Lobster with basil and saffron emulsion and last but not by no means least, butter poached lobster tail with crab and courgette fritters.
A cosy basement bar and bistro with great food and cocktails, a bright and comfortably cushioned terrace and excellent service led by Ireland’s best-known maître d’, John Healy, Suesey Street is so called as a nod to the original Georgian name for Leeson Street. In putting one of the most popular menu items from historic Georgian Dublin back in the spotlight, Suesey Street gives another stylish nod to the past in a very contemporary way.
Suesey Street is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday for guests to enjoy good times and great food. The Lobster Festival will run from now until August 31st and the menu price will vary according to lobster market price on the day.
