CLIFF Academy, located at Cliff at Lyons, is one of the most scenic cookery schools in Ireland and offers a programme of masterclasses delivered by some of the most talented chefs in the country. Following on from a sold out masterclass with CliffHouse Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter last month, June will see seafood masterchef Sean Smith, head chef at Cliff Townhouse, deliver a class on everyone’s favourite crustacean – lobster.
This ‘Lobster Season’ masterclass will take place on Sunday June 11th at the state of the art facility, from 11am to 4pm. Donegal born Sean will guide students through the ins and outs of preparing and cooking the luxurious lobster, as well as other seafood ingredients, and demonstrate tempting recipes they can recreate at home to wow friends and family.
Sean will also reveal tips and tricks for sourcing the finest seafood, so students will be given expert insider knowledge from a chef with a real passion for all things seafood related.
This masterclass costs €150 per person, and the classes will be intimate in size to allow for detailed and individual attention. There is also a reduced residential package available at Cliff at Lyons for an additional €170 B&B in a Lilypond Room for two people on the evening of the cooking event.
