The First Ever Cork Chocolate Festival Will Be Too Sweet To Miss

Calling all chocolate lovers! This upcoming festival is going to tickle your sweet tooth. The Cork Chocolate Festival is taking place in Cork city on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of November 2017.

From 11am to 5.30pm on both days, the festival, which is being hosted in association with La Rousse Foods, will take place at the Cork International Hotel.

This is the festival’s inaugural year and the only chocolate themed event of its kind in Ireland. During the weekend, a the main exhibition area will have chocolatiers from all over Ireland displaying and selling the best Chocolate.

There will also be Chocolate workshops & talks, discussing the bean to bar process and Cookery Demonstrations from amazing chefs, bakers and chocolatiers.

The theme will be Willie Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and Willie Wonka and the Oompa Loompa’s might even make a very special appearance over the weekend.

Tickets for the festival are priced at just €5 and children under the age of 12 can attend the chocolatey event for free.

As well as the main events, an exciting cookery demonstration with Paul Kelly, Judge of the Great Irish Bake Off & Executive Pastry Chef of the Merrion Hotel is sure to whet your appetite. Tickets for this special demonstration will be sold separately.

There will also be an incredible Chocolate Themed Dinner on the evening of Saturday 25th November 2017. Some amazing chefs will be on hand to create dishes containing Cocoa.

Michelin Pastry Chef Paul Kelly will be doing the dessert for guests on that evening. Limited tickets for this dinner are priced at €70 for dinner and wine.

There will be a Wine & Chocolate tasting event taking place on the Friday evening from 7.30pm with Tindal Wines. You will get to taste a selection of wines and we will pair the wines with chocolate. Tickets for the wine and chocolate tasting are €25 per person and again, due to the nature of this event, tickets are very limited.

There will be a platinum package available for guests who would like to attend all events of the Cork Chocolate Festival and Baking World and a VIP package will be issued.
