Dalkey Lobster Festival Returns this Weekend

With a tagline of ‘Lobster, Crab and All that Jazz’, it would be difficult not to be tempted to hop on the DART to Dalkey to soak up the last of summer’s festivities. With a packed line up, the festival is sure to attract a great crowd and atmosphere.

Kicking off with a guided kayak tour to Dalkey Island, festival goers can visit lobsters in their natural habitat after enjoying a glass of Prosecco on arrival. Revelers can then enjoy cookery demos from Select Store’s Oliver McCabe making dishes from his FuelFood Cookbook and Sandeep Bhagath from Jaipur.

Most importantly, there will of course be plenty of delicious seafood treats to enjoy, with The Tramyard Gate hosting a Lobster BBQ Sizzler and an On Street Surf and Turf BBQ by Roberts of Dalkey as well as an O’Brien’s Wine Tasting Showcase to pair with lobster.

All topped off with Jazz tunes from live acts and hopefully a little sunshine, Dalkey Lobster Festival is sure to be a fun day out for the whole family.

The festival’s chosen charity partner for 2015 is The Down Syndrome Centre, Ireland’s only services-led centre for children with Down Syndrome and their families. For more information on Dalkey Lobster Festival click here.
