This Exciting Pop Up Café will Tempt You to Temple Bar

Whether you’ve got moves like Jagger or two left feet, an exciting new café, Dance Food, has just opened at the Project Arts Centre and will have you dancing down to Temple Bar. Running for the duration of the Dublin Dance Festival, the canteen style pop up offers a menu designed for festival attendees but is open to the public until May 27th.

The skilled hands behind the menu belong to Fiona Hallinan, one half of The Hare, a travelling food project which popped up in Temple Bar in 2013 with Katie Sanderson. Fiona also devised the tempting menu in the popular café Meet Me in the Morning on Pleasants Street, which has won food lovers over with deliciously simple, local produce-driven dishes like Eggs and Greens. Fiona has teamed up with Phillip McCrilly, of Established Coffee in Belfast, one of the Northern Irish capital’s café gems.

At Dance Food, brunch will be served from 12pm to 3pm, with pre-show dishes available from 5pm to 8pm. With festival attendees in mind, boxes bursting with vibrant dips, nutritious crackers and breads, fresh produce and handmade preserves will be the order of the day. Plant-based eaters will be well catered to but there will be a number of options to suit all on the small but considered menu.

In addition to nutritious boxed goodness, Dance Food will offer a range of hot and cold drinks to fuel even the most energetic of us, with restorative tinctures like house made kefir, turmeric ginger and lemon tonic, coconut cacao and rhubarb soda.

Dance Food will only be around until next Saturday, May 27th, so be quick! For more information click here.
