Brunch Odditiy: A David Bowie Themed Brunch is Happening this Sunday

Ground control to avocado on toast lovers! This Sunday 7th of January fans of David Bowie and food lovers alike have a reason to call the team at The Woollen Mills “Heroes” as they’ll be hosting a themed brunch as part of this year’s Dublin Bowie Festival, running from the 4th to the 10th of January 2018.

Join Today FM’s Ed Smith as he takes to the decks to provide the perfect soundtrack for this melomaniac brunch. If you love Bowie, brunch and The Woollen Mills, this is your jam!

The David Bowie Brunch at The Woollen Mills starts with a welcome drink: ‘Let’s dance’ with TWM Bloody Mary or Bellini on arrival, followed by ‘Hunky Dory’ starters where you can choose from Woolley wings (Classic buffalo with blue cheese & buttermilk dip), Alabama White Wings (dry herb-rubbed and served with Bob Gibson’s tarragon-vinegar white sauce), Panko with sesame-crumbed aubergine wedges with chilli jam and saffron yoghurt, or Yoghurt pot with homemade granola.

For the mains, treat yourselves to one of their “Brunch Heroes”: Ha’penny Fry (‘Pigs on The Green’ free range sausages and bacon, slow roast beef tomato, homemade molasses baked beans, O ’Doherty’s black pudding, fried egg & toast), Poached smoked haddock with colcannon, tempura poached egg and pickled mussel butter; Irish Beef burger (London Bath bun, beef tomato, red onion, baby gem, Pigs on the Green bacon, mature Irish Cheddar, mayo & fries); Mac ‘n’ Cheese with heirloom tomato salad; or Homemade Waffles with berries, Velvet Cloud sheep’s yoghurt & crushed pistachios.

And we don’t want to put you under pressure but try and show up in your best Bowiesque attire as all those dressed up will be treated to a ‘Star Dust dessert’ on the house!

Tickets, including the welcome drink, two courses and entertainment are priced at €35.25.
