Derry Clarke to Host a Culinary Masterclass for Arnotts Birthday Celebration

Fancy picking up some top tips from one of Ireland’s best loved chefs? Derry Clarke of Michelin starred L’Ecrivain restaurant will be hosting a special cookery demo in the Miele Kitchen of Arnotts Department Store at 6pm on Thursday 17th May.

Derry is a household name in Ireland with regular appearances on our TV screens on the popular Masterchef Ireland, The Restaurant, and TV3’s Six O’Clock Show. He also has two hugely successful cookery books under his belt – ‘Not Just A Cookery Book’ and ‘Keeping It Simple’.

The Michelin starred chef has over 40 years experience in the business and offers contemporary Irish food with French influences.

The iconic Arnotts Department store is celebrating it’s 175th birthday with a host of special events including music, dance performances, workshops and more. As Ireland’s oldest and largest department store, Arnotts features over 700 international brands, 6 cafés and restaurants deisgined to cater for all tastes.

During the evening Derry Clarke will be showcasing his passion for food by serving up classic dishes to eager foodies. On the menu there will be delicious crispy duck breast with glazed butternut squash, hake with tomato, chili and wilted spinach along with prawn and saffron risotto and luscious lemon curd, meringue and raspberries.

After learning kitchen skills from Derry guests will then sample the tasty dishes. The dishes are sure to delight and you can view all Derry’s recipes here, and recreate them at home!
