Dinner in the Sky Celebrates 10 Years with 10 Michelin Star Chefs

In 2006 Brussels welcomed a world first with a surreal concept: Dinner in the Sky. Ten years later, this magical table brightens the sky in no less than 55 countries.

Over five consecutive days, from 1-5 June 2016, ten Michelin-starred Belgium-based chefs will cook simultaneously for ten tables of 22 guests, suspended in the air by ten cranes, high in the sky in front of the Brussels landmark Atomium.

The chef line-up includes:

– Yves Mattagne from the Sea Grill
– Lionel Rigolet from Comme chez Soi
– Pascal Devalkeneer from Chalet de la Forêt
– David Martin from La Paix
– Giovanni Bruno from Senzanome
– Bart De Pooter from De Pastorale
– Luigi Ciciriello from La Truffe Noire
– Viki Geunes from ‘t Zilte
– Filip Claeys from De Jonkman
– Wout Bru from Brasserie Bru

All the menus are 5 courses gastronomical menus designed, prepared and served by each chef, accompanied with Premiums Wines and Champagne Laurent-Perrier, priced at €275 per person.

The ten Michelin starred chefs will be assisted during service by 17 young Belgian chefs competing in this years S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016.

These ten young talents will compete for the chance to represent Benelux in the Young Chef 2016 competition in Antwerp on 23 May. What’s more three of the Michelin chefs involved in Dining in the Sky be responsible for judging this year’s S.Pellegrino Young Chef local final for Benelux: David Martin, Filip Claeys and Giovanni Bruno.

Over the five days, a total of 220 guests will be treated to an exclusive lunch and dinner menu overlooking the city of Brussels.

Unsurprisingly, this exceptional gastronomic event has quickly sold out – though for more details on this once in a lifetime event, including  the full list of chefs a sample menu, visit www.dinnerinthesky.be/en.
