The Westin invites you to tumble down the rabbit hole and enjoy their Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea – a most unusual way to spend an afternoon. Hosted in the newly refurbished suites overlooking some of Dublin’s most famous landmarks, The Westin Dublin is the perfect venue to celebrate a Wonderland-style ‘unbirthday party’.
To celebrate the launch of the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea, The Westin has appointed Laura Kinsella as its In-House Milliner, and commissioned her to design an exclusive Alice In Wonderland inspired piece. Laura’s bespoke creation will go on display in the foyer of The Westin from the end of May.
At the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea, an eclectic selection of treats are served on a unique set of hand-made crockery. Magically crafted, guests will enjoy savoury nibbles including quail’s egg and tarragon mayonnaise in a brioche roll, and crispy basil baskets with marinated goat’s curd, drizzled in balsamic and pesto. The sweet treats are equally marvellous and exotic; try the zesty green tea cone with lemon yuzu cream, the indulgent caramel mousse-filled chocolate cup or the moreish beetroot waffles.
A refreshing cocktail, The Red Rose Queen, is available for €8.50 – the perfect addition to any tea party! The Red Rose Queen is an inventive concoction made up of Tanqueray gin, rose liqueur, blackberry liqueur, lemon juice, strawberry puree and jasmine green tea.
Classic tea party offerings such as fruit scones, preserves and creams are then served alongside decadent red velvet cake and washed down with a warm cup of tea. As the Mad Hatter himself would say, “You must have a cup of tea!”
Available now, the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea caters for private groups of at least 18 people and an introductory offer priced at €49.50 per person. For more information on The Westin Dublin, please visit www.thewestindublin.com or become a fan of the hotel on Facebook.
