Put Cyprus in Your Sights – Dublin Airport Announces New Flights to the Mediterranean Island from €88

Dublin Airport has announced that Cyprus-based airline Cobalt Aero has launched new year round, twice weekly direct flights from Dublin to Larnaca, Cyprus.

As part of the airport’s 2017/18 winter schedule flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the winter, with departures from Dublin at 12.55pm and Larnaca at 8.10pm, according to Cobalt.

The air-link between the two islands of Cyprus and Ireland was launched since July 2016, though the flights ran during summer only.

The new year long flights are start from €88 each-way and are available on cobalt.aero, with prices correct as we publish.

Cyprus is one of the Mediterranean’s most popular tourist destinations, attracting more than two million visitors annually.

Dublin Airport has had charter services to Cyprus in the past, but the flights first launched last year were its first direct scheduled service to the island.

The point-to-point service from Dublin to Larnaca is just a starting point and Cobalt has already expressed plans to expand, according to the airline’s Chief Executive Andrew Pyne.

“Our intention for the near future is to offer connections from Dublin via Larnaca to Israel and Lebanon and we look forward to offering a great Cypriot-style ‘Fáilte’ to our Irish customers.”
