Dublin’s Dun Laoghaire Baths Are Set to Get a €10 Million Refurbishment

The highly anticipated Clontarf Baths have recently opened on Dublin’s north side, and it looks as though the Dun Laoghaire baths on Dublin’s south side will reopen following a complete revamp.

A €10 million development on Dun Laoghaire baths, which have been derelict for over 20 years, is due to begin in the coming weeks and will completely transform the town’s seafront harbour.

The new baths will have a café linked to an outdoor terrace, which will boast stunning views over Dublin Bay.

There’ll also be a number of studio workspaces for the artistically inclined, along with new life guard facilities.

The development is expected to take about 22 months to complete, opening to the public in the spring of 2020.

Speaking about the new baths, Councillor Tom Murphy said: “This is a very exciting time for the county of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. The Dun Laoghaire Baths is a renowned landmark in Dun Laoghaire town and the development of the Baths site represents a significant long-term investment in this public facility for residents and visitors to our county.”
