The winning team will then progress to represent Ireland in the WBBQA European Championships, which is being held in Ireland in October 2017. This is an exciting opportunity for those interested as it is the first time the European Championships is being held in Limerick.

Anyone attending the competition will be able to sample a variety of tasty food, including genuine American-style corn dogs, Thai curries, hot dogs, German ham sausages and delicious freshly baked wood oven bread. There will also be plenty of craft and retail stalls to visit, stunning vintage amusements which will be set against the backdrop of the glistening River Shannon.

Riverfest 2017 will also include Riverfest on the Shannon, the Riverfestival village in Arthur’s Quay Park, the Barringtons Hospital Great Limerick Run and a spectacular fireworks display.
