Explore the Royal County this Summer with the Meath Food Safari

If you are looking for something fun and foodie to do this summer, well the this event is certainly for you. Meath Food Safari is a guided bus tour around county Meath that visits 4 artisan producers and their farms. It will take place on the 24th of June and runs from 12pm to 5pm.

The tour is an amazing opportunity to meet the producers, taste the food and see how it is made. The stops on the tour include The Whole Hogg, Burkes Farm Ice Cream, Boyne Valley Farmhouse Cheese and the final stop will be Newgrange Gold Oils. Half way through the tour, the bus will make a stop at Mrs O’s Pub for a complimentary drink.

The day will end with a delicious BBQ in Bolyes pub in Slane. Produce from all the farms visited on that day will be used in the barbecue.

Meath Food Safari is a part of the Boyne Valley Food Series. Boyne Valley Food Series is a group of businesses – restaurants, hoteliers, food producers and visitor attractions, who want to celebrate food and link it to the rich heritage of this region.

Tickets for the tour cost €40 and includes the BBQ. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/events.
