Social Gallery: The First Dates Restaurant at the gibson hotel is Now Open For Love

Last night saw the official launch of the gibson hotel’s First Dates restaurant menu to celebrate the return of the popular TV show.

The show, which is hosted in the hotel’s coda eatery, is now offering diners the chance to experience the romantic ambience of the First Dates restaurant for themselves.

At the launch, invited guests were treated to a tailor-made First Dates menu, which was created by gibson head chef, Igor Cikerav, and a First Dates Love Potion cocktail, created by the hotel’s experienced bar team.

Dinner guests included model Lena Morkuniene, stylist Jo Linehan and some of Ireland’s top bloggers Louise Cooney, Sarah Hanahran and Niamh Cullen.

Guests were welcomed by fan favourite and First Dates host, Maître D’ Mateo Saina, who showed them to their table, where they were served a Love Potion tipple, which included Grey Goose La Poire, cranberry juice, fresh raspberry, lime juice, orange blossom water and cloudy apple juice.

Guests then tucked into delicious starters, main courses and desserts, with the decadent First Dates love heart chocolate dessert proving popular.

During the launch, the gibson hotel’s general manager, Garrett Marrinan, expressed how excited and proud the gibson was to have the First Dates restaurant open to customers.

He said: “This is the third year we have hosted the First Dates for the very successful TV show, and now we are delighted to offer the First Dates experience to all gibson hotel guests.”

The gibson hotel offers two tailor-made First Dates packages, which are available from now until Saturday, 31st March. Choose from dinner in the First Dates restaurant (available Thursday – Saturday) or make a night of it and stay overnight in a superior double room, enjoy dinner in the First Dates restaurant, two complimentary Love Potions on arrival, and breakfast for two the following morning.

Packages start from €35 for two courses or €39 for a three course dinner, both include a glass of prosecco or Love Potion cocktail. The overnight offer is €236 in a superior double room with breakfast, three course meal and two Love Potion cocktails or glasses of prosecco.
