A Craft to Watch: The Five Points Brewing Company Celebrated its Irish Launch

The Five Points Brewing Company is an independent brewery from  London, inspired by the founders’ passion for British ale and the international craft beer movement. The company saw its launch in Ireland yesterday 1st of February, at Dublin’s The Underdog Pub, an oasis for craft beer lovers on Dame Street.

The Five Points has teamed up with Dublin-based craft beer distributor Fourcorners to reach the Irish market, and at the launch, the team showcased the range of beers available in Ireland and welcome the local craft beer scene to celebrate.

The Irish range includes their flagship Five Points Pale, modern and aromatic (4.4% ABV ); their XPA, tropical and hoppy (4% ABV); Hook Island Red, (6% ABV) a classic red rye ale;  Brick Field Brown (5.4% ABV), a smooth and nutty brown ale; and a piney and resinous IPA (7.1% ABV).

Francesca Slattery, the brewery’s ambassador in Ireland, said: “For me, beer is nothing but a global drink.” She added that “To seek out well-made, beautiful beers, and to get behind independent and community-focused breweries, is what it’s all about.”

The Five Points are also making their Cork debut at Abbot’s Ale House on Thursday, 15th February, and will be pouring as part of the Fourcorners stand at AllTech Craft Brews & Food Fair in Dublin, 8th – 10th March.
