Former Coca-Cola Chairman to Open a Microbrewery in Dublin’s CHQ Building

Neville Isdell, former chairman and chief executive of Coca-Cola, and owner of the CHQ Building in Dublin’s IFSC has included the opening of a microbrewery as part of the plans for revamping the 19th century tobacco and wine warehouse turned chic shopping centre in the hear of the city’s financial district.

The brewery, operated by Urban Brewing, will be built in the area where the Epic Ireland immigration museum is currently operating and it will also feature a restaurant and bar.

Neville Isdell acquired the building in 2013 for €10 million. Since its redevelopment in 2007, the CHQ Building has had an irregular performance but on the Co. Down’s businessman’s hands, it has benefited from investment and with the soon to open attraction as well as an upcoming food market, the site is already starting to show increased footfall and attracting new tenants.
