Padraig Storey, bartender at Galway’s popular The Front Door pub, has been named the All Ireland Cocktail Making Champion.
The winning streak continues as the Donegal native previously won the national final of the Jameson Barrelman Challenge. Padraig has been working at The Front Door for over a year honing his skills and he now will go on to represent Ireland at the international competition.
The eagerly awaited final will be held at Jameson Distillery in Midleton Co.Cork on Tuesday 26th of June.
Padraig’s winning cocktail creation was called The Kiwi Mate. A perfectly mixed beverage consisting of Jameson Caskmate IPA, 8 Degrees Citra Beer, Passion Fruit, Honey and Lemon, then garnished with Fresh Kiwi.
In celebration of Padraig’s recent win, The Front Door will be adding The Kiwi Mate to its cocktail menu this weekend, allowing customers to sample the winning tipple. If you’re a cocktail lover, be sure to pay a visit to The Front Door to taste this refreshing award-winning cocktail.
