The Galway Food festival now in its 4th year will take place over the Easter bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Monday 6th April. For these five days experience Galway as a veritable food mecca!. Over 60 individual food related events will take place in hotels, restaurants, cafes and shops throughout Galway city and county. 50 shades of Kale, the twelve apostles, Cava on the Corrib and Easter themed afternoon tea are just some of the fun food activities to enjoy!

This year’s festival will be opened by TV and Michelin Star Chef Derry Clarke and promises to be bigger and better than before. Internationally acclaimed Sasu Laukkonen aka the “ no waste” chef from Chef & Sommelier restaurant in Helsinki will be in conversation with John McKenna on Saturday 4th April at 11am in An Taibhdhearc followed by Boris Leite and Rodrigo Poco from Sauvage Paleo restaurant, Berlin the first Paleo restaurant in the whole world.

In addition to this there will also be three Food Tours taking place on Friday 3rd April, live cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend, taste trails and free expert led talks on Saturday 4th from 11.ooam to 18.00pm, so something for the food lover in all of us.
