Dublin’s iconic five star hotel, The Merrion, is offering a summer style picnic menu in their beautiful private gardens. The city centre hotel is home to a variety of dining options, including Ireland’s only two Michelin star restaurant, Patrick Guilbauds.
Now guests can dine in luxury in the elegant surrounds of the Georgian building while sipping on house-made lemonade this summer in the hotel’s idyllic Garden Room.
The Garden Room at The Merrion is an all-day restaurant set in the heart of the hotel’s intimate garden. It features floor to ceiling glass doors allowing floods of natural light into the dining space, making it ideal for al fresco dining.
The carefully thought out menu at The Garden Room focuses on Irish food and produce and makes for the perfect tea time treat. Enjoy a freshly made luxury picnic in the stunning and tranquil dining space.
Indulge in a delicious menu designed by executive chef Ed Cooney. A selection of savoury treats are on offer, including Burren Smokehouse Salmon Blinis with Dill Creme Fraiche, Devilled Hens Eggs, Charred Green Asparagus Crostini with Whipped Feta and Amalfi Lemon and Liscannor Crab Brioche Baps along with sourdough bread made fresh each morning.
There are also delectable desserts to tempt your sweet tooth – Fruit Tartlets with Lemon Balm, Mississippi Mud Pie and a traditional Eton Mess.
The Garden Room is set in a specially designed building in The Merrion and provides a warm and relaxed atmosphere, with interiors designed Alice Roden and staff uniforms designed by Consolata Boyle.
The Garden Room Picnic is served on pretty picnic table-style boards and will be served daily from June to September and is priced at just €29.50.
