Let’s face it, no one looks forward to Monday but one Dublin hotspot is aiming to make the worst day of the week that little bit more bearable. Bagots Hutton is ushering in the week with one of life’s great pleasures – an artisan charcuterie and cheese board – free with every bottle of wine purchased, from 5pm every Monday evening.
Bagots Hutton established itself as one of the city’s best spots for the ritual of luxuriating over antipasti and fine wine, previously located on South William Street.
Moving to an entirely unique premises on Ormond Quay last year, a wine bar, shop and restaurant rolled into one, it contains a 120 seater cafe, it is a space that is flexible in nature, a restaurant one moment, a funky wine bar the next. They have taken a large space and transformed it into a modern cafe that incorporates classical fittings and fixtures, think vibrant Chesterfield sofas and a NYC vibe.
With a vast selection of vino for everyone’s budget and taste, there are few places in the city more tempting for a leisurely glass or two. Co-owner Giovanni Viscardi hails from Tuscany so you can be sure every element of the classic Italian antipasti board has been expertly curated, think tempting chunks of Parmigiano-Reggiano and salty Pecorino Romano alongside delicious Bresaola, garlic salami and Parma ham.
