Greenes Restaurant in Cork had great reason to celebrate since winning Hotel Restaurant of the Year for Munster at the Irish Hotel Awards 2018. The award ceremony was held on the 24th April at a celebratory banquet in The Heritage Hotel, Killenard, Co Laois.
This is the second year of the Irish Hotel Awards, organised by NI Media Limited who publish Yes Chef Ireland magazine.
Richard Evans, owner of Greenes and sister venues Hotel Isacces Cork and Cask Cocktail Bar, spoke on the win saying,

The team at Greenes, headed up by the talented Bryan McCarthy, are no strangers to collecting accolades, having also won Best Restaurant in Munster at the Food & Wine Awards in 2016 and Best Restaurant in Cork at the Irish Restaurant Awards in 2017.

Bryan and his team regularly forage for wild ingredients and work with the best of Cork’s food producers to create a local seasonal menu.
