While Dublin is already home to a host of slick restaurants, an instantly recognisable name in the culinary world is due to open in the capital and we are very excited. London’s iconic The Ivy, in ultra chic Covent Garden, has long been a celebrity hotspot and will be a stylish addition to the Dublin restaurant scene.
The Ivy is as well known for its striking decor, with stained glass harlequin windows, oak accents and a striking centrepiece bar. The famed eatery is celebrating one hundred years in business and this international expansion will be the perfect way to mark their centenary as The Ivy Dublin will be the first in the collection of Ivy restaurants to open outside of the UK.
The collection includes many more casual yet polished eateries across London in stylish locations such as Soho and Marylebone, as well as brasseries in Buckinghamshire, Surrey and Bristol.
While there has been no confirmation on the location for The Ivy Dublin, Hospitality Ireland has reported that the ground floor of the new One Molesworth Street development on Dawson Street will likely house the new restaurant. As this five story complex is set to be a high end property in the heart of the city, it would make the perfect home for the ‘epitome of glamour’ luxury brand.
On the food front, The Ivy is known for contemporary cuisine with an emphasis on seasonality, utilising the finest produce and incorporating Asian influences. You can expect dishes as stylish as your surroundings in The Ivy and this will no doubt be replicated in the Dublin branch, as well as a seriously impressive cocktail offering.
While no opening date has been confirmed yet, watch this space for updates on this exciting new development. For more information on The Ivy click here.
