Industry Awards Shortlist Announced for Restaurant Awards

The shortlists for the Industry categories of the Irish Restaurant Awards have been revealed. One overall winner for each category will be awarded with their respective title at the All-Ireland finals on May 16th in the DoubleTree by Hilton in Dublin.

The categories are Best Cookery School, Best Digital Marketing, Best Seafood Experience and Best Private Dining & Club Restaurant. Only registered members of the Restaurant Association can nominate in the industry categories and their selections are judged by the National Awards Academy and independently assessed by the Awards auditors, BDO.

The fifth industry category is Best Cocktail Experience, the judging for which has already taken place at a live competition sponsored by Ketel One on April 25th in the Guinness Storehouse. 32 competitors presented their take on a 1916 themed drink to the panel of judges and the overall winner will again be announced at the Restaurant Award Finals on May 16th.

CEO of the Restaurants Association, Adrian Cummins said “the Industry categories allow our members to have an extra say in the Awards process. Nominees and shortlists of the Industry categories should relish in the fact that their peers, their competitors, are recognising their hard work and contributions to the sector. It makes these nominations and awards very special.”
