Infinite Ideas Publishes Two New Books for Wine and Spirits Enthusiasts

Publisher Infinite Ideas has recently published two new books that will delight Champagne and spirit lovers. Both The story of champagne and Spirits Distilled are part of the publisher’s Classic Wine Library collection.

The long-awaited new edition of award-winning journalist Nicholas Faith’s landmark The story of champagne is bristling with up-to-date information about the world’s greatest wine. This book examines the history of Champagne from its origins in the seventeenth century to the high-tech industry of the twenty-first as well as going into detail about the wine itself. It also features figures related to production and consumption of Champagne.

The third edition of Spirits Distilled by Mark Ridgwell provides comprehensive histories of all the major spirit categories, how the individual spirits are distilled and why and how they differ and on this occasion, it comes with a new chapter on cocktails, complete with recipes by drinking consultant Michael Butt. Besides an enjoyable book, this is an essential tool for anyone who works with  spirits.

The full line up for the Classic Wine Library include the following books:

Richard Mayson, Port and the Douro.
Nicholas Faith, Cognac: the story of the world’s greatest brandy.
Julian Jeffs, Sherry.
Richard Mayson, Madeira: the islands and their wines.
Stephen Brook, The wines of Austria.
Monty Waldin, Biodynamic wine.
Rosemary George, The wines of Faugères.
Nicholas Faith, The story of Champagne.
Mark Ridgwell, Spirits distilled.
