While the festive season may be over and work beckons us back, that doesn’t mean you can’t spoil yourself a little longer. The five-star InterContinental Dublin is offering a fantastic 25% off its afternoon tea – an offer that is just too good to pass up.
We recently visited InterContinental and sampled their festive afternoon tea and can assure you it was more than delicious! Located in the leafy suburb of Ballsbridge, InterContinental boasts two acres of landscaped gardens, offering guests an idyllic retreat from the city.
InterContinental’s resident pastry chef Orna Larkin and her culinary team have been working their magic in the kitchen to create a sumptuous afternoon tea. Guests will enjoy delicate finger sandwiches of Smoked Irish Salmon with Dill Cream Cheese; zesty Lemon Scented Paprika Chicken; Egg Paprika; a classic bite of Ham, Cheese, and Mustard as well as Open Crab Salad and Open Roast Irish Beef with Creamed Horseradish.
No afternoon tea is complete without scones, and here fluffy Buttermilk Scones are served with rich clotted cream and homemade Mango and Raspberry Preserves.
You will finish your five-star afternoon tea with a tempting selection of sweet treats. Indulge in Almond Joconde with Raspberry Mousse and Caramelised Pecan Praline. Enjoy Rhubarb Compote with Jelly and Foam and a fruity Strawberry Sable with Pistachio Crème and Strawberry Mousse. Not forgetting to mention the ‘Pink Lady’. A heavenly mix of Pink Lady Apple, Apple Curd, Blackberry Compote and Cinnamon Brandy Snaps.
For an extra special afternoon tea, why not add a Perrier Jouet Champagne and start the new year off with a sparkling toast?
The new afternoon tea at InterContinental costs just €30 per person until 31st January and is served with your preferred choice of Shinui Loose Leaf Tea or freshly brewed gourmet coffee.
