A Sneak Peek Into Ireland’s First Adults-Only Café, Coming Soon to Birdhill

Located in Ireland’s tidiest village, The Old Barrack Coffee Roasters is soon to welcome a cafe which will offer a space for adult customers to savour great coffees. As such, the Old Barracks Coffee Cafe will give visitors a chance to unwind and enjoy some me-time in the company of like-minded people away from work and home.

Coffee Culture’s founder Alan Andrews, who has introduced this concept to his new roastery, believes this approach will let customers fully experience the roastery. As he explains,

We want to create great coffee memories, those moments you savour when you have a cup of really good coffee.”

Alan adds that they’ve put together a team of experts who understand the processes to create the best coffee memories ever. “Whether that’s at home or at our Roastery café, we have the depth of knowledge to take you wherever you would like to go. Of course for most people they will be coming for their every day cup of coffee, a cake and perhaps an hour to themselves or to meet a friend and have some quality time. We want to create the opportunity for the coffee curious to visit us also and ask questions”

Dedicating an hour or two to yourself is important to destress and recharge the batteries. The Old Barracks Coffee Roasters’ goal is to elevate the everyday coffee experience and to celebrate simple pleasures. The cafe will provide visitors with the relaxing surroundings for a mindful rest. It will serve as a perfect getaway to take a break and have a bit of ‘me-time.’ All of that is sure to make the daily routine of enjoying a cup of coffee feel yet more special.

The idea has polarised people across the country. As a result, over 11,000 people took part in TheJournal.ie poll asking if their readers would make use of an adults-only cafe. Overwhelmingly, 74% of the voters were in favour of visiting such a cafe. Following the feedback, this visionary entrepreneur has recently shared an update on Instagram to showcase the space and encourage people to get involved in the cafe.

Wow. Adults only café update. Now we know people want it … how do we actually do it ?
