Join the Irish Seaweed Kitchen’s Exciting Event as part of the Sligo Food Trail

Looking for a thoroughly unique experience? Dr Prannie Rhatigan from the Irish Seaweed Kitchen will treat guests to a wonderful event, Sligo Seaweed Days, which takes place on Monday, July 24th.

This full-day course links two headlands on the Wild Atlantic Way, Streedagh and Mullaghmore.

Start off your day in Streedagh with a welcome cup of tea and a signature seaweed scone from the Irish Seaweed Kitchen cookbook.

Following this, guest swill enjoy a leisurely seaweed identification walk at the rocky shore. Prannie will use her laminated seaweed guide with QR codes to help guide you along the trail.

With your appetite increasing, you’ll experience a seaweed cookery demo and a tasty seaweed lunch. Prannie will cover all the nutritional and health benefits of seaweed while you dine.

Following lunch, guests will visit Mullaghmore for an early bird seafood and seaweed tasting plate created by Eithna at Eithna’s by the Sea. There’s also a vegetarian option available.

Feeling satisfied, you may want to catch the sunset with a lovely evening walk around the head of Mullaghmore.

The event costs €105, including a complimentary guide to edible seaweeds. With a maximum of 15 guests, booking is essential and can be done via email at info@irishseaweedkitchen.ie or book on the website at www.irishseaweedkitchen.ie.
