Ireland’s top chefs join forces once again for a night of mentorship, creativity, and fantastic food. Taking place on the 28th of January, the latest line up of chefs for the popular Chef Collab will give diners an experience like no other.
The ethos around Chef Collab is to give apprentice chefs training and mentorship from some of the best chefs in Ireland. It gives young chefs the chance to cook in a fun and relaxed environment while gaining valuable insight into the culinary world.
Each event brings chefs from all different levels to join forces and cook together for one night. They aim to promote local venues and produce, as well as trying to tackle the current chef shortage in Ireland, the events showcase the positives of being a chef in today’s world.
The line up for January’s event is absolutely fantastic and is one night that is set to be full of incredible food. The event is an amazing opportunity for apprentice chefs to be mentored by some of the country’s finest chefs and January’s event is no exception. Joining the man behind Chef Collab, Gold Medal Award Winner Chef of the Year, Chad Byrne of The Brehon, will be Gaz Smith, who runs and owns Michales in Mount Merrion and award-winning chef Gavin McDonagh, who also is a consultant at Gather & Gather. McDonagh recently was selected to represent Ireland in Manila for 2018 Culinary Week.
Also joining the stellar line up is Alberto Rossi who is the Executive Head Chef at InterContinental Hotel in Dublin; Liam Kirwan, who is the Executive Head Chef at the Montenotte Hotel Cork and Chef Collab regular Paul Brogan of Forest Avenue.
On the night, two of Kerry’s local chefs, Noel Enright, from the Lake Hotel and John O’Leary, from Muckross Park, will also be helping out to serve up stellar dishes to the eager diners.
Each mentor chef and apprentice chef will work together to create a course each – what an amazing way to have the best chefs cook for you all in one meal!
