Listoke Distillery has just launched a new premium gin, Listoke 1777, named as a nod to the long line of distilling heritage within the family leading the new Co. Louth purpose-built distillery.
“What sets it apart from other Irish gins for myself is how complex it is, whilst being soft and subtle enough to enjoy neat, which is a rare trait in any gin,” commented Patrick Noir, award winning drinks consultant.
Listoke 1777 aromas are described as “a tree worth of blossom infused in each bottle” with pine and citrus notes combined with more contemporary botanicals and lingering spice. The spirit works wonderfully well on gin and tonics and other high-end cocktails.
ListokeDistillery features a Gin School, where visitors can learn about their premium gins, and craft their own bespoke bottle. The experience includes a tour of Listoke distillery and an introduction into the world of gin. Then visitors get to craft their bottle, supervised by in-house experts.
Bronagh Conlon, co–founder, Listoke Distillery says, “Every good gin has the “Holy Trinity” of botanicals – juniper, coriander and angelica root, and Listoke 1777 Gin has a further six.”
James McKenna, Sales and Marketing Director, Listoke Distillery, said: “Having recently returned to Ireland after 18 years working in the bar industry in New York, I was struck by the interest in gin, and saw the opportunity to recapture Ireland’s heritage of spirit production.”
Listoke 1777 Gin has an ABV of 43.3%, bottles are 70cl, priced at €45.00 and available in bars nationwide.
