Watch: The Team at Lough Erne Resort Built Ireland’s Most Beautiful Gingerbread House

It’s the happiest season of all and at the luxurious Lough Erne Resort has gone big at embracing the seasonal cheer. Their team celebrated National Gingerbread House last Tuesday 12th of December by building what has to be one of Ireland’s most beautiful and biggest gingerbread houses.

Their freshly baked Gingerbread Ski Chalet which is now be displayed for the Christmas season, took the staff over two weeks to make. This sugary and fully-edible masterpiece is something of a tradition at the luxury resort and it’s handcrafted by Executive Chef Noel McMeel and his team to bring yet another smile to guests’ faces.

In case you feel like making one copy at home (yes, right), the Gingerbread House is made using a staggering 303 eggs, 10 kg of pain flour, 14 tbsp baking soda, 30 tsp ground ginger, 2 kg unsalted Butter and 900 ml golden syrup.

The gingerbread Ski Chalet comes with a lovely surrounding village, complete with a moving train, and it will be on display at Lough Erne Resort throughout the month of December.

They have created a video to show all the love and effort that went into its building…
