Get Ready For Mischief and Mayhem – The Macnas Ireland Parade Returns to Galway Next Month

With Halloween fast approaching, the exhilarating Macnas Ireland parade is returning to the streets of Galway on Sunday 29h October.

This thrilling night of “mischief and mayhem” will see a number of “otherworldly performers” descend on Galway city, much to the delight of attendees.

The world famous Macnas parade is premiering in Galway City, a city renowned for its brilliant nightlife, before then travelling to Dublin and Hull, the UK City of Culture, later in the year.

With three locations, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to catch this parade, and it’s definitely recommended you do – don’t miss out.

Founded in 1986, Macnas is one of the most original voices in Irish theatre, delighting its audiences with big, bold, visually interactive performances at festivals and celebrations around the world.

Their collaborations have seen them float a giant baby over Times Square in NYC for the millennium, partner with U2 on the Zooropa tour, walk a 15ft tall boy about Womad Austraila , create a spectacular finale at Wilderness Festival UK, and premiere a new show at SXSW Austin,Texas 2016.

More details about this exciting event will follow in the weeks to come, but those interested in volunteering in the parade are welcome to apply here, however, you must be aged over 18 to apply.
