The Johnstown Estate has unveiled an enchanting Afternoon Tea experience in order to celebrate the opening of their brand new Fairy Trail.
Pastry chef Weduge Fernando has created a spellbinding playground for fairies, not to mention for big and little kids.
Set on a bed of green pistachio sponge with a generous sprinkling of pixie dust, this limited-edition Afternoon Tea is accented by tiny green macaron toadstools, meringues in the shape of the Fly Agaric mushroom (that’s white-dotted, red-capped mushrooms to you and me) and tiny pixie logs made from brandy-snap cannoli, filled with chocolate cream and sprinkled with pistachio crumbs.
Guests can feast on delicate pastries fit for a princess, including fairy-winged Queen cakes, a fairy door cookie, an elfin Black Forest meringue, and a forest fruit tartlet – all sprinkled with popping candy and fairy dust.
This creative menu also includes multi-coloured cake pops and chocolate mousse shots, both of which perfectly complete this confection of fairy perfection.
Only available until the end of November, this Afternoon Tea experience is priced at just €50 for two people. The best part of this whole experience? Well, the little fairy hunters get to enjoy a smoothie and an extra cake pop for free.
This gorgeous creation is available until the end of November only, and the whole experience costs just €50 for two. The best bit: Little fairy-hunters enjoy a smoothie and an extra cake pop for free.
So, make an afternoon of it, pull on a pair of the estate’s complimentary Dubarry boots and stride out to the newly opened Fairy Trail, get some fresh air on our 120 acre Estate, have fun with your little ones, then reward yourselves with this original and fun Afternoon Tea experience.
