Marlin Hotel On Target For Bow Lane Summer Opening

Marlin Group, one of London’s largest privately owned hospitality operators, is set to shake up the Dublin hotel scene by opening its first state of the art hotel in Dublin 2 this July, creating 110 new jobs. Marlin Hotel Dublin, an innovative and contemporary 300-bedroom hotel, will be tucked away in the centre of things at 11 Bow Lane East, adjacent to St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre right in the heart of the city, a short stroll to theatres, art galleries, museums, restaurants, bars and shopping districts.  The €55 million development is being spearheaded by Irish owned Marlin, who opened the first of its seven London locations back in 2003

Setting itself apart from other city centre hotels, the distinctive triangular building designed by architects Cantrell Crowley and being built by McAleer & Rushe spans 110,000  square foot. Interior designers O’Donnell O’Neill Design have been commissioned to create an individual and unique ground floor space, that will appeal to both the professional and leisure markets alike.

‘Don’t Just Stay – Live’ is the ethos that will be reflected across all elements of the Marlin experience as guests are invited to customise their stay to their specific requirements. The contemporary stylish design, high-tech specification and relaxed community attitude, are designed to clearly differentiate Marlin Hotel Dublin from other hotels in the area.

Offering a restful space, the 300 high-tech modern bedrooms, range from compact luxury each featuring a luxury 2m x 2m custom sized bed, to interconnecting suites, to ensure a perfect night’s sleep.  Each room features a 43” HD Smart TV with Google Chrome cast connectivity, high-speed broadband, LED mood lighting, Bluetooth speaker, air conditioning, media hub and automated black out blinds.

The thoughtfully designed ground floor area will offer a self-service check in desk for a speedy arrival. Alternatively guests can opt for a warm welcome by the Front of House team. The easy flowing ground level will comprise of a co-working area, an indoor garden as well as an outdoor terrace that will appeal to both residents and visitors, a meeting space for twelve, high speed 1GB Wi-Fi, print solutions and a very bespoke Coffee Dock.  For those wanting to fit in a workout, there will a 24-hour gym available for resident’s use. 

 

Marlin Hotel Dublin will serve a concise quality food offering, together with a wide selection of drinks including seasonal cocktails and a Low and No menu.   One of Dublin’s most unique bars will host beverages from local distilleries and breweries while also supporting local artists by featuring and selling Irish prints.

 

Michelle O’Donoghue has been appointed General Manager and returns to Ireland from Dubai following six years at the Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers. She commented, “We wanted to create something different here in Dublin, offering something tailored for every individual guest. Whether they are looking for a beautifully designed compact room to sleep after a day exploring Dublin or a large suite to relax during a busy schedule, Marlin Hotel will be able to cater for all guests. It truly is the first of its kind in Ireland a real hybrid offering. We are excited that Dublin is going to be home to something truly unique.”
