The beauty of gin lies on its versatility. The distiller’s imagination is the limit as the spirit allows for inventive infusions and quirks that ensure there’s a gin out there for every palate. We’ve seen a few unusual tipples out there, from a gin made from rosé wine to an non-alcoholic gin and a gimmick-tastic blue gin that turns pink when mixed with tonic water.
Just when we think we’ve seen it all, this ginnovation caught our eyes: the Naked Marshmallow Co has launched its small batch Vanilla Bean Marshmallow Gin, infused with… guess what… exactly what it says on the label. These creative masterminds have already brought alcohol-infused marshmallows to the world and now they’ve decided to produce this decadent vice-versa.
The gin is made in England. They also crafted a salted caramel marshmallow vodka. Joseph Colson, Naked Marshmallow co-founder, told FoodBev: “We have had a great time with reinventing marshmallows and one request we always have is for alcohol flavours. We thought it was a great opportunity to reinvent another product. With the growing interest in artisanal food and drink it was a fantastic opportunity to merge the two.”
They use spirit that have been distilled in traditional copper pot stills. The drinks come in 500 ml bottles and are priced at €27.55 (£25) or €33 (£30) if accompanied by a pack of salted caramel or vanilla bean marshmallows, they are available to buy on the company’s website.
